General Question
What literary term am I thinking of?

I recall reading an article about a certain literary term used to describe a specific type of female protagonist or secondary character.
The type of female character mentioned is usually quirky, close to nature or the earth, and very often the object of a young-ish male character’s lusts or affections.
I vaguely remember this archetype being referred to as a “pixie something or other” but google doesn’t turn up any results.
I’m not looking for Mary Sue, or Femme Fatale, either. Those are incorrect.
