Do you watch the various Law and Order programs? Did you know that Mariska is crossing over to the Los Angeles one?

I love Law&Order and no I didn’t know that! They can’t break up Benson and Stabler!!! Keep me posted. I have to call hubby and tell him this news!

I’m with @Akua: Don’t mess with my Law & Order and don’t mess with my Benson and Stabler. I was going to say that the Law & Order franchise has only had one failure, that being Law & Order: Trial by Jury but in looking into it, apparently there was something else, Conviction (2006) that was L&A related, but I have never even heard of that one. That must have been quite a failure. I don’t even remember it. I am looking forward to the new series, and I’m sure as hell hoping it’s going to be good, because I’ve seen most Law & Order episodes about 3 or 4 times and even the biggest fan needs something new and when they do it right, they do it right.

I didn’t know she was switching over. I hope it does better than the Trial by Jury one did. I’m looking forward to some new episodes of Law & Order though. I tend to watch the marathons on tv quite a bit.

I watch L&O, Criminally Intentional, and SUV. :p

@Seaofclouds Me too. If there is nothing else on, I sometimes find myself “chain watching” Law & Order episodes. No matter what the time, no matter where you are, there is almost always some channel that is showing an episode of one or the other versions of Law & Order

I chain watch anything Legal, too; like The Practice or Boston Legal.

@everyone. We’ll see. It’s just very hard, at least for me, to imagine a Law and Order that’s not set in NYC. As you’re all saying, they better do it right.

@zen_ Skeet Ulrich is going to be in the cast?!!?!!? All I can say is, that as far as this particular, slightly overweight, middle-aged, American woman of Anglo-Saxon descent is concerned, they don’t get much hotter than Skeet Ulrich. :-) I will so be there for the premiere, just for that.

I say we get naked, pour some drinks slip into the hot tub and watch the premiere together on a big screen.

I just imdb-ed his image – I remember him from a scene in one of my fave films; he was an artist’s nude model in As Good as it Gets. Never seen him in anything else, though.

@zen_ This one is hot. The last thing I know that he was in was the series Jericho about the U.S after a series of nuclear attacks. It was cancelled, then there was a campaign to get it back on the air that was supposed to have been successful, the campaign, that is, but the show has never came back.

@faye Yes he is, isn’t he? You’ve got me thinking. I’ve always thought of Skeet Ulrich as kind of the “poor woman’s” Johnny Depp, but maybe I have it totally backwards. Maybe Johnny Depp is really the poor woman’s Skeet Ulrich. :-)

However, it was on for 20 seasons, which I think makes it tied with Gunsmoke for the longest-running night-time dramatic series.

I hope she doesn’t leave SVU. That role is the perfect fit for her. And Benson and Stabler can’t be split up!
