How can Clinton get away by saying she "misspoke"?

Jon Stewart made a big deal out of it, and so did Keith Olberman. I don’t think she
IS going to get away with it. Her base watches those guys.

She said today she remembered it different than it was. You can all see how this can happen. Think about it. How many times have you been driving down the freeway, someone honks a horn, you go home and tell the spouse you were under fire that day. Then you remember…“Oh wait, there were no mortar rockets or bullets whizzing by, my mistake, someone just honked a horn”. Or maybe you were at the mall, you walk by the food court and hear people chattering but you’re not sure if it is that or enemy attacks. You duck for cover and then realize it is ok when people around you inform you that it is just a mall and everything is fine.
She lands in a foreign country, doesn’t know the language and maybe people were talking really fast in another language, she thinks it is rockets and bullets and grenades.
We all do this, come on, admit it. She simply remembered it differently until her staff cleared it up for her. It could happen to any of us.

Besides, we can forgive one little faux pas after her “35” years of experience in govenrment and foreign affairs.
Someone had to run the country when Bill was dealing with other “issues”.

I have heard gunfire as well. It is not easily forgotten so I don’t think she “misspoke” or remembered it differently than it was unless she was inhaling what Bill wasn’t.

Hmmm. . . I wonder if pot would have any effect at all on Hillary.
