Was Turner and Hooch not a great movie?
I have watched this movie many, many times. I guess i can relate to this movie, since i was a detective for thirteen years and some scenes were realistic. And, how much slobber did Hooch produce in the film? It was everywhere. my best-scene choice was Hooch and Tom Hanks inside his police vehicle. Hooch was ripping the upholestry apart. “Don’t eat the car” was a memorable line from this movie. Question: Was Turner and Hooch one of your all-time favorite movies?

Yes! My first boxer, a male, drooled that much. I had to carry a “drool cloth” at all times. But I agree, the part where he is tearing up the inside of the car was hysterical. That is one movie I can watch over and over.
It was a cute movie and Tom Hanks first big movie that I liked him in.
It isn’t one of my all time favorite movies but I did think it was quite humorous. I’ve found it hard not to like many movies that have Tom Hanks starring in them. He’s an incredibly good actor.
Comic Mort Sahl’s brief sardonic review of BEN-HUR years ago was “Loved him, hated Hur.”
To paraphrase it, though not as creatively, Loved Turner, hated Hooch.”
I preferred the doggie movie with Jim Belushi. I think it was called K-9.
Funny thing. Both of those doggie movies came out in ‘89.
It was a great movie! It made me laugh, smile, and cry.
Yes, T and H was not a great movie.
