What signals the end of summer for you?

School starts.

When I can turn off the air conditioner, It’s like YES! more money in my pocket.

Finally sleeping under blankets again. (I prefer to sleep under covers, the heavier the better…)
Being able to take my dog out for long walks, again.
I could go on and on….

The first gentle kiss of crisp and cooler air.

The moment I get back on the bus for school. Which reminds me, I have to get my pass renewed for the quarter.

Orange, yellow and red leaves falling from the trees.

When it is more comfortable to sleep with the windows open, rather than an air conditioner or a fan… and the leaves start to change.

When its absolutely too cold to go swimming.

My sunglasses go back in their winter storage.
No more girls with skirts on bikes.
The back door to the balcony is closed.
Wearing jeans instead of shorts.

Oh, @rebbel , you make it sound kinda sad. :-((

@JilltheTooth It will be sad not to see @rebbel in shorts again until next summer.

I know. Damn.

Shorter days and longer nights, school kids walking to school as if they were going to be hung, cool breeze coming in, the little clouds on the weather map and last but not least, though more physically energetic, mentally down and blue!

When the aspen trees start turning yellow.

School starting is definitely a big one, leaves changing color, having to wear a sweater outside. The heat kicking in instead of the fan or AC, all the fall tv shows starting.

pools closing, leaves falling, cooler weather, back to school advertising on tv. kids whining about going back to school like it’s a bad thing.

Going back to school is a bad thing. :-)

For kids it’s the worst thing lol. I kinda miss those carefree days.
