I own a 2004, Honda Civic Hybrid. I get 38–41 mpg in the city and up to about 51, on the freeway. I love it! How about you?

I’m 32 and have never had a license or car. My bike, skateboard, and bus get me around.
The last time I was in a car was about two months ago.
I have a fantastic ass.
I ride a 1995 26 inch Raleigh mountain bike and a 2010 8.5 Anti-Hero skateboard with Indy trucks and 60 mm. urethane wheels. I also have an ass that rivals johnpowell’s. Rice, beans, and beer fuels my vehicles.
A friend of mine drives a Prius. He likes its fuel efficiency, but he misses the power that his previous car – some Teutonic monstruosity – had.
No, not interested. The energy consumed in making it, and in replacing the batteries when they die, more than offsets the savings over the extra fuel consumption of my 11 year old car that just keeps on going. Congratulations on buying the Honda over a Prius- at least it is a decent car.
”...or some other alternative energy vehicle?”
It’s called, a bicycle.
@johnpowell & @buster, good for you two tight asses! I admire you! I’m 60 and I never got into skateboarding. The bus system here isn’t as good, as I hope it will evolve to be. @Nullo, My car has satisfactory get up and go, for freeway driving. I had to have that, before I bought it, for my own sanity. @harold, yes, you are right on the money, taking into consideration all the other factors. In 2004, I came into a little extra cash and chose to upgrade my Honda Civic to the Hybrid, to support the concept of finding alternatives to gas, and save some money. It was after that the the facts came out about the the energy costs of making and transporting the cars etc. I’ve entered some contests that offer an electric car as the prize. Do they also have the same offset problems? @RealEyesRealizeRealLies, That’s great you bike! I ride a bike, but can’t use it to commute to work, bad knees.
Don’t even have a license. I walk everywhere, bike and at worst bus. But always thought if I indeed buy a car one day, it’ll be hydrogen or electric.
