“The chupacabra (“goat sucker”) is an animal said to be unknown to science and systemically killing animals in places like Puerto Rico, Miami, Nicaragua, Chile, and Mexico. The creature’s name originated with the discovery of some dead goats in Puerto Rico with puncture wounds in their necks and their blood allegedly drained.”
From here.
Its a hispanic myth. @Randy is spot on.
Also, for laughs, when I was little, my dad use to dig up the large, overgrown beets in our backyard, cut them in half on the cutting board and say, “Look! I’ve caught the Chupacabra!!”
I agree with @Randy that is the definition.
I talked to my friends from Elsalvador and Randy is accurate.
