Help me describe/find this certain clock?
I saw this clock once, and now I can’t find the website or a picture of it to tineye or anything. I’m not sure how to describe it to effectively search for it on the internets.
It was a rather minimalistic clock, and instead of numbers, it would have the hands in the position of the number. So, for instance, if it was six o’clock, then instead of six, it would have the position that the time would be at.
Does that make sense? How can I describe this to search for it, or does anyone know where I can find it, buy it, or make it?

I just googled clock with only hands and it had plenty with the hands in position of the time.
Any way you can post a pic of this timepiece?
@lsdh182 : Sort of like that, but where there would be numbers, there would be another little tiny set of hands that make the number.
@Krankenmensch : And no… since I don’t know where it is. I can try to draw a picture.
Ah OK, sorry @troubleinharlem I really have no idea where you could find that.. Maybe get in touch with some shops that could custom make it?
It’s called a redundant clock. From what I could find, it’s not actually for sale right now.
@Seaofclouds : I LOVE YOU SO MUCH RIGHT NOW.
@lsh182 : thanks anyway for helping me! (:
and fml, it isn’t for sale.
Drawing a diagram in paint would help in future :).
@troubleinharlem…....Don’t give up on this clock.
It would be really easy to make. Just buy a regular clock (in this shape) at any store (will run you about $10 or so). Then take it apart and paint the clock face with white paint…so you can’t see the numbers anymore. Buy (from a craft or hobby shop or an online hobby craft shop) some small clock hands. Drill holes in the face and place them at each appropriate number. Voila! You have your clock!
If you aren’t “crafty” find a friend who is good at stuff like that…or an artist/carpenter. They can whip this up for you in no time. Just find the parts for them.
While you have a link to the picture, print it out so you have it to show someone and they can reproduce it. You may want to find the artist first, show them the pic and then buy the parts.
Good luck! I hope you get your clock ticking!
PS. Don’t use a drill without protective googles…and it’s best if you take it to someone who knows how to use one to do the holes…it’s safer that way.
I am shocked that no one has this for sale. Not even on eBay or etsy.
I did see this nifty, nerdy clock on ThinkGeek, though. ^_^
@Seek_Kolinahr : I know, right? Me too!
But that one /is/ pretty neat.
