Don't you hate it when people don't read a post properly before answering?

It’s happened two or three times recently, all on controversial subjects.

Has this happened recently?
Yes, I find it disconcerting when someone goes to the trouble of crafting a question and carefully adding details that are misread or not read at all.
I’m guilty as charged! But, not on a serious question! Lately, there have been many questions that come under the heading, “yanking our chain!”
Yes, especially since I’m always careful and considerate enough to read the entire description before answering.
OK, maybe a couple times I haven’t.
Yes, but sometimes I think people just misread the details.
Do you mean reading just the original post or all of the posts on one thread before answering?
Why yes! I do like sprinkles on my cupcakes thank you very much!
I think you should just let them wear what they want after all they are professionals.
Not really, it’s an easy mistake to make sometimes. If their response is invalid as a result, i correct them or ignore it, no big deal.
If you add just a spoonful of sugar you will help the medicine go down.
An apple a day keeps the doctor away.
Yes, I always try to add in any details that could possibly come up when I ask a question and it annoys me when a person has obviously not read or only partially read my details when I’ve spent time crafting my question to have as little ambiguity as possible.
I support freedom of hegemony burning relationships liberal no koran Christian congrats on 10k!
I think you should leave him – he sounds like a real bastard and you have gone through enough already. Hang in there. Everything’s gonna be alright. More power to you, girl!
All conspiracy theorists are completely bonkers.
We can help you figure out how to do this kind of math problem, but you will have to do the work yourself.
@Nullo yes, I do have a fluther crush.
Oh what was the question?
Just funnin’ ya man.;)
Well – I guess that generated a good discussion!
Good question, by the way.
^ Hey Bubby – how was Rosh Hashana dinner by you?
@zen_ Having a very quiet holiday so far – just bubby’s hubby and her. L’shanah Tovah!
It’s going to happen all the time…nature of the internet. It’s upsetting to have it happen and to realize that you’ve done it. But I think it can be easily remedied – it just depends on how you respond to the misreading, in my opinion.
Yes. But even I am guilty of it sometimes…it’s just called “being lazy”...
I really try to always read the details, however. Can really make a difference in the answer.
I always read the details, but if someone else doesn’t read mine, I don’t get angry about it. I just try to point them in the right direction. Again. ;)
I cant, because I dont always read things carefully before I answer, so I am very often in kind of a “let he who is without sin throw the first stone” situation on this one. In no position to judge here, sorry.
When I see something like this fictitious example, yes, it does annoy me:
QUESTION: How do I get my cat to stop blowing bubbles in his milk?
DETAILS: I’ve tried mixing in some mustard, but so far it hasn’t helped.
Ten jellies’ answers follow, offering various suggestions: raspberry jam, Vaseline—the usual. Then along comes jelly number 11 and writes:
JELLY11: Try mixing in some mustard.
However, Jelly11 is probably not going to change his ways. May as well not waste any heat on getting annoyed.
@Nullo Did you try mixing in some mustard?
