Can you tell us about your awards?
Which Fluther award are you the most proud of receiving?
and
Which Fluther award do you want the most to earn?
Why do you like getting awards on Fluther?
As for me, I’m most proud (Is proudest a word?) of the Circumnavigator award, and I really want that Cake in the Frizzer.

I’m most proud of my 9 feeding frenzy awards. And my cake in the frizzer. I also have the pilgrim award (which is easy to get) but I want the other “Atlantis” awards, but I have no clue how to get them.
I just realized I got Sea Cheetah 24 times. I think that’s kind of a big deal.
I wanna know how I got the secret ones. What is the Cake in the Frizzer?
I’ve gotten the Satrfish 59 times. I guess I’m proud of the Pilgrim. I dunno what it is, but I’m proud if it.
I feel like the Colossal Squid is quite an accomplishment. Someday, I’d like to get the guacamole award. Or maybe I’ll just settle for some guacamole itself. Yum.
@jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities : You should have come to the luau last weekend. We had guacamole made from fresh-off-the-tree avocadoes. Hey, maybe there’s some leftover in the frizzer…
Proud, prouder, proudest.
I have 360 Wayne Greet-zky awards. I might be proudest of that.
I have spent an obscene amount of time trying to get the cake in the frizzer award. I have given up on that for now.
@filmfann, cake in the frizzer is easier than you’d think…
I don’t have many, but I’m proud of the ones I do have. I’m still trying to figure out the awards fluther don’t explain, but I don’t think I want the ‘cake in the frizzer’. I get a good laugh everytime I read that post.
I’m most proud of Privateer, but only because its the most recent. Otherwise probably Oliver Twist, because I could help out someone whose question was an orphan. I’d like to have Pilgrim, because the CIA thread was a few months before my time, and I wish I’d discovered this place earlier.
I don’t really care, not until I get the Xena Award anyways.
Edited this to take back what I said… because now I feel really stupid. haha.
I’m looking forward to privateer. I was looking forward to the Jules Verne… but I just noticed that I already got it. Shows how much I pay attention.
Can someone PM me about the Cake in the Frizzer thing? Not about the award, but I know it was a question at some point and I totally missed the whole thing.
How can you tell how many times you have gotten a particular award? Not that I care, of course ;-), but all I know how to do is to look at the award list and see whether or not I have gotten a particular award: an asterisk beside the award means yes, I’ve gotten it; no asterisk beside the award means, no, I haven’t gotten it.
@lillycoyote if you hover your mouse over the award on your profile it will tell you how many times it has been awarded to you.
@TheOnlyNeffie Well dear, aren’t you absolutely right. Who knew? Apparently almost everyone but me, that’s who knew. Thanks! I will be amusing myself with this new knowledge for the next 5 minutes or so. :-)
Edit: I guess I am either most proud of or most embarrassed by my 89 Perfecto-fish awards. I can’t decide which.
Edit again: LOL. I think fixing this one just gave me my 90th Perfecto-fish award. I am pathetic.
I had to go look at my awards.
I suppose I am proudest of my Oliver Twist award because it’s nice to know that I was able to answer an orphan question well.
I’d like to get the Robot-Crush award sometime just because I like the name of it. :)
@Seaofclouds Yes, the Oliver Twist is a good one. It has only been awarded to 82 users it seems, and I’m not one of them. Not that I’m jealous or competitive or anything. :-) Good for you!
Um…awards? Sorry. What awards?
Most likely to burst into flames was pretty endearing and I will treasure forever!!
@Cruiser : Now, I can say I know someone who’s won something really important.
Interesting question. I’d never really looked to see how many times I’ve gotten an award before. Looking them over, I’m happiest about the 5 Sunken Treasures and the 12 Jules Vernes, because they’re about the questions and answers. That’s what we’re all here for, right? :)
I hardly pay attention, I’m just here to carry on. lol
I’m proudest of my two Jerubas. One for spelling. and one for grammar under pressure.
Well, I’m not exactly proud of having 358 Perfecto-Fishes (because it really highlights my OCD), but still, that’s a big-ass number. :P
@papayalily ; I got Cake in the Frizzer recently and it had nothing to do with the original “frizzer” post. And no, I don’t know why I got it.
I’ve got 2 Jules Vernes – I’m pretty damned proud of that, though I’m sure it’s not for the answers I would have chosen. ^_^ The 22 Sea-Cheetahs are pretty neat, too.
And my 21 Davey Jones’ Revenge – because that sounds so awesome.
13 Feeding Frenzies, and shockingly only 16 Perfecto-Fishes.
My 751 Starfish awards make me pretty happy. Big numbers are cool.
But my favorite award is the Robot Crush, and that’s because of the mouseover text. Whoever wrote that, I love you.
Am I the only one who doesn’t have the Perfecto-Fish?
@augustlan ; I don’t either, but maybe I haven’t been here long enough, or our standards are also impossibly high!
@DominicX Jeez! 358 perfecto-fish? I thought 89 was bad.
Give me a moment, let me examine my .. awards :)
“Davey Jones’ Revenge” – because I think fluther should be more of a reference with live discussion about all topics initiated – rather a last-day question heaven with medium to high repetition.
Awards are useful to distinguish what kind of user one is – aside the more generic lurve point system. Maybe we could come up with more awards – giving even more definition. Though they’d have to be easy to script.
