Why wasn't this most fabulous web site ever released beyond a demo?

My favorite web site of all time is nothing more than a demo. I’ve analyzed it for years and it is simply fascinating to me.

Perhaps I’m mistaken, but can any of our foreign fluther affiliates confirm that JCthestore is or is not using this web site in different countries?

I cannot fathom how such an enormously large budget could have been spent for something that was never implemented.

The Photography and video are absolutely incredible. The music, all original is beautiful, and if you search down into the commercials, you’ll find even more original music scored for this client.

Clicking on Find a Store demonstrates that this vendor is everywhere except for the United States. But the amazing thing is that they are selling Americana like no other. It might look like they’re selling jeans, but in fact, they are selling the image of the United States to the world. And they do it better than anyone I’ve ever seen.

Any ideas why this web site was never released after such a monumental investment? That’s millions of dollars in photography alone. And I’m sure the music and web mechanism didn’t come cheap.
