(NSFW) Are there any rules, taboos or social niceties that apply to most if not all sex clubs and parties?

Never have experienced one myself but would imagine that the use of condoms is de riguer.

@janbb: Makes sense. I also wonder if one can assume that everyone participating is over 18 or, unless stated otherwise, there will be no BDSM and the like.

I think that’s as far as I want to/am able to go with my limited knowledge.

I would imagine like any other social gathering, I suppose it’d be nice to bring a bottle of good wine.

The ones I’ve been to have this in common: water and hand sanitizer available, condoms and lube everywhere, by each bed/space and some porn made by the targeted community – aka, at a trans sex party, it’s trans porn. Everyone’s allowed to watch everything, no one’s pressured to participate and usually there is one person (kind of like a host) that is in charge of the evening.

I went to a Bondage club years ago. I hid a dominatrix’s whip, and she had this guy strapped naked to a cross. She was all flustered looking for her whip and eventually she found a hanger and used it to spank the guy instead. It was funny. I wasn’t expected to do anything. I attended only to dance. It was a little uncomfortable looking for the bathroom though. Every corner I turned people were having sex. In retrospect, I was only about 16 at the time. I didn’t do anything naughty either. Geez, I was a virgin. No wonder I was hidding whips :P
