Where can I learn self-discipline?

Asked by maud_janne (37points) September 15th, 2010

I’m lacking of control. Most of time I just get nervous and start to brag about the ol’ good times. People think I am mad but what I really want is a safe environment where I can “loose the moose”. I’ve heard that self-discipline could help me out. Where do I find it?

Tae Kwon Do practice and Bikram Yoga practice.

Any branch of the military will teach you very good self discipline!

@Cruiser: I’m also quite lazy.

@maud_janne That is why the military is a good place to start…perfect fit for lazy couch potato types. Otherwise invest in a taser and teach yourself some discipline

@maud_janne If you’re really that lazy, I would go with the military.

If you don’t want the military…I would first practice how not to be lazy.

@Hawkeye AH! I was going to come up with some form of Little Grasshopper!

Discipline comes from within, Little Grasshopper. There! I dids it anyway!

@Cruiser has a point. If you haven’t learned self-discipline before you learned to type, it may already be too late. Laziness, by the way is an indicator of self discipline.

If you are too old to join the military and haven’t been taught it as a youth, it may bee too late. I guess you could commit a minor crime and volunteer for one of the prison boot camp programs. Good luck, I hope the lack of discipline is only your perception and not a fact.
