What will happen to Lorenzo?
Colombian Police have just arrested Lorenzo, a Spanish-speaking parrot. Lorenzo was taught to sound the alarm, if the police were coming on a drug raid. Police knew of Lorenzo and were prepared. Lorenzo was busted! he is now awaiting trial in a Colombian jail. Question: What will happen to Lorenzo and does this give new meaning to the phrase, “jail bird”?

So, do guard dogs have to have a work permit as well? Are they covered under minimum wage requirements? Because if one is bound to the law, they should be covered by it as well, no?

You’re still talking about putting a bird in prison, and sending it to trial.
Do you think the bird understands its Miranda rights? does the bird have the right to refrain from testifying against itself?

According to this article, Lorenzo has been handed over to environmental authorities. Sounds like he won’t do any time, after all.
Set a high bail—he’s a definite flight risk.
