what does classification in the periodic table mean?
how are the groups and periods classified and why?
plz help!

The periodic table rocks. While we do not do homework here I want to encourage you to explore it. Each element has a history and unique properties.

This is just one of many awesome sites that can help you appreciate and understand the elements.

Metals/non metals, gases/noble gases, electron arrangement/different shells, etc.

It’s quite a mind-fuck at first but it makes perfect sense.
