What does the hand guesture with all fingers up except for the ring finger mean?

Asked by troubleinharlem (7999points) September 23rd, 2010

I’ve googled hand gestures, and the only thing close to it is the “Shocker”, which I’m not going to explain here since it’s quite rude. Basically, you would hold your hand up and put your ring finger down against your palm, or just down in general… anyone know what it means? I saw it on bumper sticker.

Oh yeah, that’s the shocker. Real rude, particularly if you reverse the fingers.

@cockswain : Oh, I thought that it wasn’t because the thumb wasn’t down.

My understanding is the thumb doesn’t come into play. So it’s optional what you do with the thumb.
