What does everyone think about Palm's WebOS and where it is going?

This is really a two part question:
First, what is everyone’s opinion (that has used it) of Palm’s WebOS on the Palm Pre? Likes and dislikes, what it’s missing, etc.
Secondly, do you really see a future for it? Who/What is it up against and where is it really going, especially after this HP/Palm acquisition?

It’s a solid operating system, but it’s not on enough devices, and doesn’t have many developers.
