How can I see how old the answers given to questions are?

I see the dates listed when a question was first asked, but not when answers were first given. Am I blind? How can we see how old answers are? (actually, I guess it really doesn’t matter, but I’m curious!)

Yes. Under my avatar, and beside my name you will see a link that says flag as. Run your cursor over and a little to the right of it. The date will show up, but only when your cursor is on it.
Wow, @chyna , I didn’t know that! Thanks!
I didn’t know that either.
Is there something else that little flag is used for?
It seems like I remember but not understanding someone trying to explain how to use it.
@wilma The “flag as” is used if you feel you need to report an answer that you feel is unsuitable for the thread. The flag is looked at by the moderators and they will will delete the answer if they think it is inappropriate also.
Thanks @chyna , I did know that part, but what about that little flag that pops up when you pass your cursor over it. It says “Permalink for this response”. What does that mean?
@wilma
You can use that permalink to put it in a PM (when addressing someone on his answer), or put that link in your bookmarks folder and you can see the date and time of when that answer was written.
@rebbel Thanks. I didn’t know that.
Wow, you guys know everything!
Well done, jellies! How to use the permalink: When you’re hovering over the red paragraph mark (the permalink), you can right click on it and copy the link location. You can then use that link anywhere you want to refer to an answer.
Pffft..it’s not working for me.
@Coloma Can you see the red paragraph symbol, when your mouse pointer is on the “Great Answer! Flag as…” line? Put your mouse pointer directly on the symbol, and right-click. You should see several choices, including something like “copy link location”. Left-click on that, and you should then be able to paste the link into an answer, PM, email, etc.
I’m new here so it may be different for others; but for me, when I look at my screen, I see your avatar to the left of your question. Just under your avatar is says “Asked By” followed by your screen name & points accrued, which is followed by the date. I had never noticed that as I usually only looked at the name of who was posting the question.& I stopped before the points because the points weren’t of importance for me.
