Does the Federal Witness Program work?

Asked by john65pennington (29273points) September 28th, 2010

There have been several movies and tv shows, dealing with The Federal Witness Program. Question: Do you suspect that one of your family members may be in this program? Have they suddenly disappeared from sight? Have you ever inquired about this program and if so, did you believe you were not told the truth? Have you ever been contacted by someone in The Federal Witness Program?

To know if something works requires one to know of examples of something not working. I can scarcely think of one example where the federal witness program failed, except in the movies. By that standard, it must work very well.

According to one online article, there are approximately 17,000 people in the program.
