TV watchers: Anyone out there besides me miss the television show, The Unit?

Asked by anartist (14813points) September 29th, 2010

I thought is was a very well-done show and a former army Ranger told me that the action plots were very plausible [he was more skeptical about the plausibility of the wives’ stories]. I also liked it because although usually the operation was a success, sometimes it wasn’t, or was minimally so at great loss. This made it more credible for me and thought-provoking for me.

I understand it was taken off because war was not a subject considered suitable for a television series. That seems very odd to me.

I never watched it, but I know my mother had a crush on one of the characters, so I’m sure she’s bummed.

@anartist This one. I think it’s cause he resembles my father in the early 1960’s.

I watched it sometimes and my husband was hooked on it. I did think it was a good show.

I think it’s still on, I see it on my list of TV shows regularly.
