What am I doing wrong? my popovers won't pop?
I have made popovers twice, I have followed the recipe, last night I put ¼ teaspon baking powder in. They come out alright enough to eat, but they don’t rise! They’re more like little balls. What am I doing wrong? Any suggestions?

Was the oven hot enough? Is your baking powder fresh?
Here is an article with some tips on popover making.
Much to my wife’s chagrin, I have the OPPOSITE problem.
Make sure your oven is preheated to 425 degrees, my recipe says not to overmix, are your eggs fresh?
tried it with cold oven, and preheated oven. hand mixed one time and used mixer other time. I used to make them all the time when I was a kid and never had this problem! thanks evabody wish dear old mum was alive
Does your oven have an upper heating element? Popovers need to be heated only from the bottom, so if the oven has an upper heating element, you should take it out.
