Does the bass in IEMs freak anybody out?

Yeah… I just got my first pair of IEMs; besides the odd feeling of having something so deep in your ear… q-tips that play music, the the amount of bass they produce is freaking me out (used to iPod Earphones or good ol’ Headphones).
