What's the good news?
I read this story about a special-needs football player, and it made me feel good about life. I’m not ashamed to say it made me cry.
Have you read or heard any news stories recently that were good news?
Maybe something especially exciting happened in your life or someone close to you.
What’s your good news?

Market is up 1000 points in September.
I’m going to breakfast with Dr Steven Jones tomorrow morning.
I saw my neighbor’s little boy today. He stopped and talked for a few minutes today. He finished chemo awhile back, looks and feels great so he says. That is happy news:)))
The last two news stories are read were two suicides (of queer teens) due to bullying and other harassment – I’ve been morose since.
Okay, make that six suicides last month alone. WTF!
I really struggle with getting bogged down in the bad news. I also hear stories every day as a mental health counselor that make me question my own sence of safety and security. I have to find joy and good news in my own personal life rather than media news. I really wish that good news would sell as well as catastrophic news. But as “they” say Fear sells
Good news is that both my hubby are employed and working towards our dreams! Putting in the hard work now so that it will pay off later. Also, my brother got married last weekend to my very sweet new sis in law!
My dental hygienist (with whom I’ve developed sort of a vague friendship over the years) told me this morning about the baby boy she and her husband adopted recently. I’ve been following her infertility efforts over the years, because I also did that, so this was very uplifting news. Happy happy outcome to a difficult trying number of years for two very nice people.
Every single one of us is still breathing, and I’m assuming we all have adequate shelter, food, and water because we are on the internet.
That’s good enough news for me.
It is a couple months old, but I came upon this story recently & it is definitely good news. Don’t be put off by what seems like a lengthy article, for it goes by in an instant. It is about a blind man who uses an iPhone app that tells him what colors are being seen through the camera lens. You will choke up a bit when he talks about messages from his mother & sunsets. This story is just remarkable. I have read through it twice & I just can’t get over how amazing it is. I hope you all enjoy it as well.
