What everyday products do you buy in unusual places?

Asked by MyNewtBoobs (19069points) October 1st, 2010

Example: I buy boots at a local sex shop. They’re the only ones who carry a mid-calf, chunky heel 1–2½ inch high, rounded toe, with no frills. And so long as I’m not wearing a miniskirt, they don’t look strippery (I’m making it a word…).

Do you buy anything common in a place you wouldn’t expect to find it, or buy it?

Does that go for buying sex aids in produce aisles or at ranch supply stores?
I see no way of gracefully extricating myself from that without damage to my reputation

Candy at the hardware store. There’s this old-timey place in my town that sells everything from seeds, feeds, and tools to souvenirs and old-fashioned candy. They have a huge selection of hard to find yummyness. :)

Our toilet paper comes from the local restaurant supply store. When you buy the institutional size case, you only have to buy TP every 7–8 months.
