What's the benefits of having a dry county vs. a wet county?

I live in a very conservative county and they’ve been trying to pass a law to sell here for years. Right now you have to drive 30 min+ to get alcohol. I’m thinking I’d rather give my money to my own county instead the one next door. Any thoughts?
