In Judaism, we have the idea of the <b’sheart> who is the one chosen for you by Ha-shem (G-d).
I bought into it but then I wondered how my b’sheart managed to find me when I moved around after college but then I rationalized G-d sent her to college in New York City and made sure that our paths crossed when the time was right.
I have seen over the years the oddest couples, odd men with beautiful women, gorgeous men with plain women and really strange-lookimg men with equally strange-looking women. Try Wal-mart at midnight on Friday night for some examples.

i still think so.
i don’t like thinking there isn’t.
it gives everyone something to look forward to.
This isn’t so much a romantic fantasy as scientific probability. There are so many people on the planet that nearly everyone will eventually run into someone who they are attracted to and would get along with very well, and who feels the same way. Unfortunately some people are already in a relationship when this happens, or dismiss the opportunity. This isn’t to say that said relationship will continue perfectly forever.
I believe that there are parts of ourselves that need work/ support and that’s where I think that one person is equiped to sort of give balance to you and for you to give balance in return. I would love to say that there is only one person “equiped”, but it seems unilikely when you think about it, logically. But I still think its important, for love’s sake that we try and believe it!
Hell no! It all depends on how much you lower your standards
I didn’t think so for the longest, because I never thought I would find someone who could put up with me! and also had many bad relationships in the past, but I found that perfect person for which makes me now know that if I can find that “one” then there has to be someone out there for everyone, you just have to beleive!
