If I were to use the word memorable, which music videos would immediately come to mind?

Yeah you know, the good old promotional video used in conjunction with a singles release to maximize sales. It helps if you liked the song too but not essential. Anyway, if you could divulge some of your favourites over the years i’d be grateful. No really I would!

Cry – Godley & Creme
Thriller – MJ

Now, I love my boys, but in 1972, let’s just say they were flailing for direction. I’m so glad I didn’t see this until I was an adult.

This made a big impression on me when it came out, and this really takes the prize for musicality, dance and sheer exuberant good fun.
LOL. The first one that came to my mind was a video by the Beastie Boys. I can’t remember the name of the song, but in the video there’s a big robot walking through town or something, and at one point i think it breaks a building and a toilet bangs against it’s head, or something like that. It always made me laugh, but i haven’t seen that in years.
“Tonight It’s You” by Cheap Trick (sorry, don’t know how to post the youtube link).
