Does a Wall Mountable 42" touchscreen w/ OS built-in Exist?

Asked by asawilliams (368points) October 7th, 2010

Im looking for a 42” wall mountable touchscreen that has the OS built into it. Does that even exist, or would I have to just hook up a laptop to a touchscreen that size?

The only one I know of is the new sony internet tv link but thats not really an OS. However I am sure that since it is running something with some work you be able to get linux installed on it. I am sure someone out there is already working on it.

I don’t think it would be difficult to mount a slim laptop, like a macbook or something, behind the tv. You can “create” a dock where it mounts and unmounts…

Unless you have a slim-profile TV mount that limits your space.

But I don’t know about a TV that has it built in (like an iMac but huge? LOL)
