How do I import documents onto Kobo Vox?

Asked by desiree333 (3241points) December 30th, 2011 from iPhone

I have a Mac. I have tried to connect the Vox and turn on USB storage, and then drag a document file onto the “KOBOVOX” removable disc. This had worked when I imported music, but not documents. Do I have to convert the documents to PDF files? For music I selected the “Android” folder then kept pressing it until I got to the “cache” folder, then dragged my music files onto the “album cache” folder (it had a similar name to that). How do I import documents onto the Vox? These documents are ebooks that I downloaded through Demonoid and uTorrent, they are not paid.

It looks like it doesn’t support PDF out of the box. You can probably download a PDF reader from the Android app store. Or you could get Calibre and convert things to the ePub format which is natively supported on your device.

@johnpowell Thank you so much! Calibre is very user friendly and fast. I just have one quick question that you may know the answer to:
I already had 3 books saved onto my Kobo, all Epubs and all have artwork (covers before I tried Calibre). However, only one of the books cover shows up on my Kobo. Is there any way I can add them to Calibre and re-add the covers?
