When you cried who wiped up all of your tears?
Or did you do it yourself?
I rarely cried in public. The only times was when I dislocated my elbow or knee. Also when I ate 20 bowls of Raisin Bran and was found in the bathroom floor crying trying to pass a fart. I ended up in the hospital for a week.

But can’t recall anyone else offering. It must have happened. I know I have had my turns at tear mopping little kids.
They were never wiped up. They froze into precious little diamonds in my memory.
My Mother did when I was younger. My dad was one of those who believed that you NEVER let them see you cry!!! As I became a teen, I NEVER let anyone see me cry, so I wiped my own tears. As an adult, I NEVER cried while in public…at home was a different matter. Now, it takes a LOT to make me cry. Yes, it can happen; but it is NOT very often!!!
Stop crying, or I will give you something to cry about!
OMG, you sound just like my dad!!!
That is how all dads sound like.
Well, I’ve only ever had 1 dad & he assured me that he was unique. Guess that was another falsehood!!!
That was my mother’s favorite phrase. “Shut the fuck up or I’ll give you something to cry about.” So, no tear wiping from her.
Dad was more understanding and willing to talk, but he ended almost every chat with some version of, “Well, you’re doing better than me.” And then launch into a sad sack dissertation about he was a loser in some way. So it became about him.
Thanks @LadyMarissa but all was fine. They were good in other ways.
I understand. Mine were much the same. They each had their strengths & weaknesses!!!
I only cried in private because it would make Mom mad.
