How long would it take to burn off carbs in a day?
I had a half of bagel this morning. I don’t normally eat bread but I toasted and put cream cheese on it. I will walk on my lunch break. In the evening I am pretty active. I am hoping at some point I’ll be able to burn off this bagel that I ate. I am afraid to eat anything else.

Not sure but I do know you have to run ¾ of a mile to burn off 1 chocolate chip cookie.
Are you serious? One cookie. I would never make it.
I would look long term. If you can balance calories in vs calories out/activity over the week, you should be able to control your weight. That’s how I do it.
I know right?! I don’t want to gain any weight so I only eat a very little amount and I walk 5–7 miles every day. It can be exhausting but you can do it :)
A bagel with shmear runs around 530 calories. so half of that puts you at about 275 calories to burn off.
To burn that off, consider this:
TO BURN 300 CALORIES …
Run at a 6 miles-per-hour pace for 27 minutes. ...
Do Bikram yoga for 33 minutes. ...
Go for a leisurely bike ride for 44 minutes. ...
Do a little gardening for 66 minutes. ...
Wash your car for 88 minutes. ...
Swim freestyle laps for 27 minutes. ...
Play tennis for 32 minutes. ...
Join a pickup soccer game for 27 minutes.
I’ve spoken to a few A list celebrities and the answer seems to be the same.
Adopt austere eating habits! You might be miserable but you will look good.
It is not a simple calculation without all the facts. Nutrition is also not just about burning Carbohydrates or burning calories. Eating healthy and making choices has to do with your body and your activities.
½ Everything Bagel With Cream Cheese is about 285 Calories, 30g Carbohydrates, 10 g Fat, 0 Protein
The number of calories and carbohydrates you burn walking depends on how much you weigh and your walking speed.
Walking at a moderate pace has a respiratory quotient of 0.85, meaning you’d burn approximately 50 percent fat and 50 percent carbohydrate. Walking for one hour burns approximately 254 calories, or 127 calories of carbohydrates.
Consuming enough carbohydrates in your diet to supply adequate energy is an important consideration in your day. Failing to eat enough carbohydrates forces your body to rely on protein for energy and that protein comes from the breakdown of your lean muscle. Eating a healthy diet will ensure adequate amounts of each nutrient are available.
Talking to a nutritionist would be your best bet.

@WhyNow This is what many people think. It’s not about looking good at all. It’s about your health and quality of life.
It is about both. You would want to be fat and sloppy. I would want to be in shape.
