I think of Farrah Fawcett, circa 1978.

I immediately thought of Farah Fawcett too.

The hairstyle is similar, but not exactly the same as the late 70’s. Farah’s hairstyle the hair was more chopped up, more layered.

Part of the difference now is most of these famous people sporting the hairstyle you inquire about have hair extensions, so they don’t need the amount of goop in their hair to maintain a style like what we needed in the late 70’s and especially the 80’s.

Just think of the teased hair of the 50’s and 60’s, and then long straight hair with a middle part in the early 70’s, and then stiff full coifs often involving perms in the 80’s. Hair trends have always gone like this; flat to full and back again.

@JLeslie They say big hair is coming back, like Miley Cyrus wore at the Grammys. Ugh.

I’ve heard it’s called barrel curls. Not the same as Farrah Fawcett but I don’t know who started it.
