Play a musical instrument? What is your favorite piece to play?
If you play a musical instrument, what instrument do you play? And, what is your favorite piece (or pieces) of music to play on it?
Here’s mine: I play the guitar and “A Day in the Life” by the Beatles is my favorite piece to play.

I play the flute, and one of my favorite pieces to play is “Sally’s Song” from the Nightmare Before Christmas
I used to play the guitar, and I’m just too lazy now.
For whom the bells toll and Aces High are my favorites.
Not particularly good at the guitar, but I love playing different songs based mainly on the lyrics. As far as the guitar bits are concerned, I enjoy “Six Blade Knife” by the Dire Straits, which has an easy bit for me (the acoustic guitar) and a great bit for the electric guitarist in my band, who obviously adores this song. I also enjoy “What’s Up?” by the Four Non-Blondes, but mainly because it always gets a great response from the crowd. Another fun one is “Knocking on Heaven’s Door” by Bob Dylan, which is easy on the guitar and has a good rhythm to it. The most challenging out of all the songs I play (and I usually play it alone) is “Where Are You Gonna Sleep Tonight?” by Amy McDonald, which (the way I play it anyway) involves a lot of work of my little finger, and generally stretched fingers. And to make things even harder, is very fast.
on guitar, Nakagawa-San by Andy Mckee or As Ugly as I seem by the white stripes.
on piano, “Something I can never have” by NIN is awesome to sing along to. but just the piano I have to say Tamacun
on violin, as nerdy as it sounds, I love playing this
On drums I like to play “Shine A Little Love” by ELO
On piano, I play Jerusalem.
On bass, I just got Seven Nation Army.
It’s early days yet! :D
I play several instruments where the sound is made by buzzing lips, as well as hand drums, recorder and vocal cords. My favorite piece is really not a piece, but a method. I prefer to jam with a few musicians who know how to listen. The music I like to make is heard once, and never again. It never gets a name.
wrong link on my previous post.
This version of Tamacun
great on the guitar too, I only know a couple people who can play that style with me though so the full effects are few and far between unfortunately…
I play acoustic guitar and ‘You’ve got her in your pocket’ by White Stripes sounds beautiful on guitar ^^
Guitar: “Blackbird” by the Beatles sounds great on a 12-string!
French Horn: “March Slav ” by Tchaikovsky
Accordion: “Beer Barrel Polka” Lew Brown, Wladimir A. Timm, Jaramir Vejvoda (that’s a fun one)
Also, on accordion, Dark Eyes, theme and variations.
