That is if there is such a thing. Read one the other day, I forget where, which said that we on average spend…....wait for it…...four, that’s right FOUR years in our cars!!!! Along with a third of our lives spent asleep & god knows how long working or on the crapper. Certainly gives pause for thought. So anyway as I say, what stats, if any, have you read that made you sit up & take notice?

Ooh, there’s that horrid one about un-knowingly eating a specific number of spiders in our life time…. shudder
The number of Americans that don’t believe in education. So sad. And scary.
Poll results released today show that nearly one in five people, or 18 percent, said they think Obama is Muslim. That was up from 11 percent who said so in March 2009. Scary, the ignornance out there.
Pew Research reports that 18% of Americans think Pres. Obama is a Muslim. He’s not. I am shocked at the blatant lies and ignorance.
@hawaii_jake, we were writing the same poll results and admitting the same shock at the same time. ;-)
@Austinlad : Very funny that we were writing it at the same time. :)
@hawaii_jake, looks like we were writing that message at the same time, too. Great minds. ;-)
I would say husband spends four years on the crapper too.
Oh, wow, my answer was supposed to say “evolution”. Brain fart.
Empathy Causes Facial Similarity Between Couples to Increase Over Time
“Would you believe that people who live with each other for 25 years actually develop similar facial features? I don’t just mean that people tend to choose partners who resemble them, rather that over time together couple’s features actually converge.”
I can tell you it is true: here is a picture of me, and here one of my girlfriend.
@syz : freudian brain fart, more like
@rebbel Wow, may I be so bold as to ask for a night in the sack with that temptress in clogs? I mean I don’t usually take sloppy seconds but…..... :¬D
@syz What’s strange is you received three GA’s for basically an error…....there’s method there somewhere…....or perhaps not.
@Blondesjon : Damn, I really shouldn’t be laughing! :-)))
Did that into a sidewalk last year. I empathize with Green Bag kid.
@ucme
I have to tell you beforehand that she shaved the beard off, i hope that doesn’t put you off? :-)
@rebbel Gets better all the time. This way It won’t tickle when I get a blow job from the divine creature. Besides it’ll accentuate those luscious tu-lips…....I mean two lips XD
What is really sad is that the ignorance others cited no longer even surprises me.
63% of the population has no notion of statistics, and the remaining 51% misunderstands the little bit it is familiar with.
@Blondesjon ohhh. That poor, poor little kid.
It always surprises me when Americans don’t know basic American history. I mean basic. I told people I felt dumb for not making the connection between director Chris Columbus’ name and his production company being called 1492 until the second time I saw Percy Jackson. They told me I should feel smart for even getting it all.
